Vintage Waterman Ink-Vue Fountain Pen W/ 14K "Brown" Nib Restored
Vintage Waterman Ink-Vue Fountain Pen W/ 14K "Brown" Nib Restored
The Waterman's Ink-Vue pen was produced sometime between 1936 and 1939. Striking art deco design in Silver Ray. Color looks a bit more like green, but with the nickel trim, must be the Silver Ray. Stepped cap crown and, as far as we know, the original nickel metal globe emblem on end of barrel. Gossy plastic surface show only minor desk/use wear. Ink-vue barrel is ambered with some internal discoloration, but is plenty transparant enough to see ink level. Crisp Waterman imprint on side of blind cap. Nickel plated trim is in unusually good shape with no brassing that we can find. Lever sits slightly low at the back end of the pen, but functions just fine. Large pen measures 5 1/4" capped and, although not recommended, will post lightly at 6 3/4". This pen is fitted with a perfect Waterman's 14K "Brown" nib. Smooth writer - point is fine with medium flex. Lever filling system has been restored with new sac and washer. Pen is ready to fill and write for another 75 plus years.

OS Leboeuf Bronze Pearltex Fountain Pen W/ Large #8 14K Nib
OS Leboeuf Bronze Pearltex Fountain Pen W/ Large #8 14K Nib
Leboeuf produced very high quality fountain pen in Springfield Mass during the 1920's into the 1930's. This pen is probably from the early 1930's. Gorgeous Bronze Pearltex plastic looks like tiger eye. There are a few minor spots of brassing on the clip. Cap rings are perfect. There is a vertical line on the cap to the right of the clip and a couple of lines on the barrel where the plastic surface is kind of crazed. The line on the side of the cap may or may not be a slight crack. Hard to tell if it goes all the way through. This is an over-sized full sleeve filler measuring 5 3/16" capped and 6 3/4" posted. Beautiful, very large #8 14K nib in perfect condition. Wouldn't call this nib exactly flexible, but it is what I would call soft. Pen is restored and is ready to fill and write for another 85 years or more.

Parker 2 Jewel Junior Vac Fountain Pen & Pencil W/ 14K Nib - Restored
Parker 2 Jewel Junior Vac Fountain Pen & Pencil W/ 14K Nib - Restored
Parker Golden Pearl 2 jewel Vacumatic legible barrel Parker Vacumatic imprint, but date code is worn. Split arrow clip with two jewels, two cap rings, and a nib dated 1941 would lead one believe this is a 1941 Junior. The "Junior" is the same size as the earlier "Major" size model. The later double jewel Juniors are relatively uncommon. Glossy plastic surface shows only minor desk wear commenserate to age with no personalization. Cap has nice black jewel and excellent plating on tassie, clip and two cap bands. There are a couple very tiny chips around the edge of the blind cap black jewel and one small scratch on that jewel tassie, but plating is good and jewel is solid. Barrel is ambered, but still has some clarity. Pen measures 5 1/16" capped and 5 15/16" posted. Nice 14K Parker arrow nib (1941) with a tad of flex (not flexible, but has some bounce). There are a couple of small tool marks on the tip, but should not affect the function and is really only noticeable under the loupe. Vacumatic plastic button filling system has been restored and is ready to fill and write for another 70 plus years.
Pencil is a perfect match in size, trim, and color, but I don't believe it works. There is a personalization - Freeman Shoes, Herb S. Edwards. Just tossing in the pencil, because it matches the pen and maybe someone can fix it. $150.00 |

Vintage Moore Safety Fountain Pen W/ 14K American Stub Nib
Vintage Moore Safety Fountain Pen W/ 14K American Stub Nib
Originally the American Fountain Pen Company. The name was changed to Moore Fountain Pens in the late teens. Moore produced the "Non-Leakable" Safety pen for almost 30 years. This one is probably a pretty early model with the older American Fountain Pen nib (late teens)? Pen measures 3 9/16" capped and 4 3/16" posted & and nib extended. Looks like sterling, but there is no sterling mark. Cap is personalized with letters F.G.P. Metal overlay has some dents and scratches (see photos) Have not cleaned the exterior to preserve patina. Very nice 14K American nib is a stub/medium with lots of flex. The pen came to us "restored". Since we did not do the restoration ourselves, will be selling as is. The cork seal does seem tight, but might be "safer" to dip pen if you want to use this fabulous nib.

Originally the American Fountain Pen Company. The name was changed to Moore Fountain Pens in the late teens. Moore produced the "Non-Leakable" Safety pen for almost 30 years. This one is probably a pretty early model with the older American Fountain Pen nib (late teens)? Original paper label designates this model a No. 1 G.T. Med priced at $3.50. The end of the barrel is marked 3.50 and 1R. Medium sized pen, #1 nib with a gold ring top? Pen measures 4 11/16" capped and 6 1/8" posted & and nib extended, but cap opening is a little tight to post comfortably. Black hard chased rubber has crisp chasing and imprints. There is minimal discoloration, but in the right light you can see some light "browning" of the rubber. Gold top with ring shows no brassing. Very nice 14K American nib is fine with lots of flex. Vintage Bikuter Oversized Fountain Pen W/ 14K Tenkodo Bikuter #4 Nib
Vintage Bikuter Oversized Fountain Pen W/ 14K Tenkodo Bikuter #4 Nib
This is is a mystery pen. High quality details include a R 4K mark on the cap band. Solid 14K or rolled 14K. Either way good quality. The clip is marked Bikuter with a round mark at top. Looks kind of like a maze or fingerprint logo. Clip could very well be solid gold, but it is not marked. Large diameter (cap measures 1/2" at bottom) measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 7/8" posted. This black pen may be hard rubber (pre-WWII?). The last bit of mystery is the two lines of print. Could be a personalization or markers mark in Japanese? This is a plunger filling pen and has not been restored. One thing we do know is this pen has an amazing nib. Marked 14 Karat Gold, Tenkodo, Bikuter, Iridium, (4), Hardest. Don't know what most of that means, but this is a beautiful 14K XF point with amazing flex. Pen has no damage or cracks so piston filler should be restorable, but for now, would make an amazing dip pen.
* If anyone knows something about this pen, would love to hear from you. $175.00 |

Waterman Lady Patricia Ink-vue
Waterman Lady Patricia Ink-vue
The Waterman early 1930's ink-vue fountain pens were designed pretty ingeniously. The back end filling system allows for a very large ink capacity for a smaller size pen. The lever folds in half then is depressed to pump the sac in the back. This particular pen is in excellent condition. The ink-vue is a very transparent green color with an intricate diamond design. The silver plating shows no brassing. The crisp Waterman imprint is found on the back section. The only flaws we can find is one very small spot, under and to the right of the clip that is not glossy. It's not a ding, its more like the outer shiny outer surface is missing and one similar spot on the ink-vue section (see photos). It's not much, but worth mentioning. Other than that, even under the loupe would still say the glossy black surface shows only very light deskwear. Measures 4 1/4" capped and 5 1/2" posted. One of the nicest things about this pen is a beautiful 14K "ballpoint" Waterman Ideal nib. I wouldn't call it super flexible, but maybe medium flex. Overall this pen is very clean and does not look to have been used much if any. Restored and ready to fill and write for another 80 plus years.

Eclipse Marxton
This is a very large lime green marbled fountain pen from probably the 1920's. It measures 5 5/16" capped and posts at almost 6 3/4". The only maker's mark is on the clip reading Marxton, but the lever has a wreath imprint, which leads us to believe this pen was produced by Eclipse. The color is a bright lime green, dark green, and cream with only discoloration being on the barrel threads. Plating show light brassing on the cap ring, the clip's top corners, and the ball of clip. Beautiful #4 Wahl 14K nib with medium flex. Pen is restored and ready to write for another 90 plus years.

Leonardo Gold Filled Fountain Pen
Never have seen another pen marked Leonardo. It is very reminiscent of a early 1920's Eclipse gold filled pen. Have also seen a very similar Salz Brothers pen. Burdick BHCR Eyedropper Fountain Pen
Burdick BHCR Eyedropper Fountain Pen
About the only thing we could find about the Burdick Pen company is that they produced pens during the late 1800's in Janesville Wisconsin (same town as Parker). There are probably not many examples of this pen out there and certainly not in this kind of shape. Although this eyedropper pen is over 100 years old, the chasing and "Burdick" imprint is crisp. The gold band nearest the section has a small area of corrosion, but is not that obvious. The other band has just a few spots of brassing. Smooth slip-on cap has no cracks or faults beyond very minor deskwear. Fits this pen too well to be anything other than original. Coloring shows only minor oxidation that, for some reason, seems to show up more in photos than to the naked eye. Pen measures 5 3/4" capped and 6 1/2" posted. One of the more interesting things about this pen is the 14K nib overfeed. Amazing that this delicate overfeed has lasted so long. 14K nib is fine with plenty of iridium. One tine is slightly out of alignment. Barrel, nib, and feed has been thoughly cleaned.

Un-marked Wahl Eversharp? Ring Top
Although there is no makers mark, this looks like an un-marked Wahl all metal pen from the 1920's. Only marks on the pen is a small 18 1/8 imprint around the top of the cap and the bottom edge of barrel. Likely the gold fill mark? Maybe 1/8 18K gold fill? Only other clue is a very nice 14K Eversharp nib. Tastefully engraved with the name Jimmy. Measures 3 3/4". Does not post comfortably. Metal engraved with, what looks like, the Wahl Grecian Border pattern. Plating has some light desk/use wear and small areas of brassing around the edge of the cap top and edge of barrel end. Nothing too significant. Pen has been serviced and is ready to fill and write for another 90 plus years.
