Streamlined Parker Duofold in Mandarin Yellow. For some reason this sunshine yellow plastic is hardly ever found without at least some micro cracks or chips along the cap edge. Somehow this one has survived since around 1930 with perfect bright yellow color and no cracks of any kind. Glossy plastic shows no wear beyond typical micro abrasions. Barrel imprint is a tad light, but legible two line Duofold Patented Made In USA. Plating on trim is excellent except for one small spot of brassing on the ball of the clip. This pen is super clean inside and out. Even the inside of the cap is ink free. Junior size pen measures 4 1/2" capped and 5 3/4" posted. Since this plastic is considered somewhat fragile, posting this pen is probably not a great idea. Perfect 14K Parker Duofold Pen nib is fine/firm. Button filling system has been restored and is ready to fill and write for another 84 plus years.

Model – Duofold Junior
Date - Very early 1920's Duofold - bandless cap and medium size imprint Filling System – Button Color – Black Hard Chased Rubber - BHCR Size – Junior - 4 9/16" capped and almost 5 5/8" posted - To keep the cap lip free from cracks, posting is not recommended Trim – Beyond some brassing on the clip ball, plating on gold filled clip is very good . Nib – Perfect 14K - Marked, Parker Duofold Made in USA 26 - fine with medium flex Condition - Perfect color. Glossy black surface shows only minimal desk/use wear with excellent chasing. Crisp milling on barrel blind cap and clip lock cap. Medium Duofold Jr. barrel imprint is light on the word Parker and the first part of the Lucky Curve scroll mark. Believe this imprint was only used for about a year. No dings, cracks, or personalization. Most often seen in plastic (Permanite) - Black is somewhat rare in Black Hard Rubber especially with good chasing. Unusual to see a hard rubber bandless Duofold cap with no cracks. Outstanding example of a very early Duofold Junior. Button filling system has been fully restored - ready to fill and write for another 92 plus years. Model – Sonnet - Sterling Fougere (Herringbone pattern)
Date - Date code on cap ring L no dot - 4th qtr. 2003 Filling System – Cartridge/Converter - Converter is installed Color – Sterling - herringbone pattern w/ gold plated clip, tassie, and cap band Size – 5 1/4" capped and about 6" posted Trim – Gold plated trim has some light desk/use wear. No dents or brassing. The cap snaps securely onto the barrel, but once in place, turns freely. Not sure if by design or not, but thought was worth mentioning. Nib – 18K two-toned medium - Writes super smooth with some decent flex allowing for easy line variation Condition - Do not believe pen was used much. Herringbone design is crisp. Surface shows minimal desk/use wear. No damage or personalization. Pen has been thoroughly flushed. Ready to fill and write for many years to come. Parker Vacumatic with crisp Parker barrel imprint and date code of 6 - 3 dots (1st qtr of 1946). Solid black cap has one original "no F.E. Tax" sticker and shows no wear beyond micro scratching. Perfect Blue Diamond and solid black jewel. Plating is excellent except for thin line of brassing on the two side edges of the clip and a couple of small spots on the clip ball. Not noticeable without a loupe. 3rd generation Vacumatic with black top plastic plunger. Black celluloid barrel has great color with only slightly ambered, but amazing barrel clarity. Plastic surface is glossy with minimal desk/use wear. Standard size measures 5 1/16" capped. Does not post securely. Beautiful mono-toned 14K Parker arrow nib with correct date code of 6 is a fine/firm. Except for replacing the vacumatic sac, have left this un-inked pen as found. Pen is ready fill and write for another 68 plus years.

Model – Petite Pastel Ring Top - Early Flat Top
Date - 1927-28 Filling System – Button Color – Naples Blue Moire Size – 4 5/16” capped and about 5 1/2" posted Trim – Beyond light desk/use wear, cap bands are excellent with no brassing. No brassing on the ring, but the screw-in tassie shows some plating loss. Black line between cap bands have a couple of spots where blue is showing. Nib – Perfect 14K Lucky Curve Pen marked with a C (Canadian ?) Writes super smooth fine line with just a tad of flex Condition - Light desk/use wear with crisp Lucky Curve barrel imprint. Crisp milling on black end pieces, although the barrel blind cap does have a couple of spots of discoloration and a few dings in the milling. Bright blue color is a little darker on the barrel than on the cap. Button filling system has been fully restored - ready to fill and write for another 88 plus years. $125.00 |
